Is your dog legal?

Police are preparing for a dog census throughout the Town of Tonawanda and Village of Kenmore.

The census begins Thursday, July 5.

All dogs identified during the census will be checked for a valid Town of Tonawanda/Village of Kenmore dog license.

If a resident is found to have an unlicensed dog they will be given 15 days to comply.

According to local law, all dogs 4 months and older must have current Town of Tonawanda/Village of Kenmore dog license. A current rabies certificate is required to purchase a license.

Residents can acquire a license at the Town Clerk's Office, located at 2919 Delaware Avenue, Room 14.
