Is your dog legal?
Police are preparing for a dog census throughout the Town of Tonawanda and Village of Kenmore.
The census begins Thursday, July 5.
All dogs identified during the census will be checked for a valid Town of Tonawanda/Village of Kenmore dog license.
If a resident is found to have an unlicensed dog they will be given 15 days to comply.
According to local law, all dogs 4 months and older must have current Town of Tonawanda/Village of Kenmore dog license. A current rabies certificate is required to purchase a license.
Residents can acquire a license at the Town Clerk's Office, located at 2919 Delaware Avenue, Room 14.
