Jamestown man accused of setting woman on fire

A Jamestown woman is hospitalized after police say she was set on fire.

Police officers arrived at the scene of 210 Thayer street Tuesday night at 11:40 pm to find the 27 year old female victim with severe burns to her face, head, and torso.

The investigation revealed that the victim was doused in a flammable, substance and then set on fire.  She was taken to WCA Hospital and then immediately air lifted to ECMC in Buffalo.  She is listed in critical condition.

Officers took 37 year old Luis Castro-Mojica into custody.  He is currently waiting arraignment on the charges of Assault in the 1st degree.  He was also wanted on three other domestic warrants from a previous incident.

Additional charges are expected.
