John Flynn declares victory in Erie County DA race

Democratic Candidate for Erie County District Attorney John Flynn has declared victory.

Flynn beat out his Republican challenger Joe Treanor in a race that stayed tight until the end.

Throughout his campaign, he has touted his military experience. He served 28 years in the U.S. Naval Reserves.

Flynn says as District Attorney he wants to take on tougher cases and build better relationships with local law enforcement.

Flynn thanked his family, supporters, and friends and says "tomorrow, we go to work."
