A Buffalo-based kayaking club is organizing what it's calling Western New York's largest kayak float event.
The Buffalo Paddle People is inviting kayakers to join them in the Buffalo River near Riverworks on Sunday August 5 beginning at 10 a.m. Beginning at 11:30, kayakers will "free float" on the water before forming a single-file line and "parade paddling" for one mile down the river. They are trying to break a record while also raising money for Camp Good Days.
There will be a post-float party at Buffalo Riverworks with live music, food, basket auction, live demo’s, kayak vendors and more.
Pre-registration for the event, including the after party admission is available now at www.BuffaloFloat.com for $40 per single kayak and $60 per tandem kayak. Proceeds for the event benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times.
