These talented teens weren't alive for when the 80's hits were rocking the charts, but now these teens are learning the disco music for the musical "Rock of Ages".
"It is like one of my dream shows," Zach Liddick, casted as "Lonny" the lead male role, said. "I've always wanted to do it, it's all the songs my dad showed me when I was growing up."
Zach fell in love with theatre at a young age and wants to continue with the art through college. This summer Zach is a new member of the "In Good Company Productions" crew and has already stared in six shows for the company.
In Good Productions is a non-profit kids theatre company that performs shows throughout the summer. Kids ages 4-17 can audition and no one is turned away. 80-100 kids join each summer to show their skills and to experience the thrill of the stage, President and Director of "In Good Company Productions" Melissa Durfey said.
"I love watching the kids grow every year," Durfey said. "You could be having the worse day of your life, you come here, you forget because they just bring so much sunshine to your life. They are so full of joy and they make the best friendships."
There is still time to see a production in person. The "Rock of Ages" crew will be performing at Fisherman's Park in North Tonawanda August 14th & 15th at 7:00pm. This is the first production that the theatre at Fisherman's Park will have.
