7 things to do in Western New York this weekend: April 26th - April 28th

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — We've got another weekend filled with events across Western New York.

Cher

Cher is in town and is ready to give it her all at the KeyBank Center. There are still tickets available for Friday's big event. The concert starts at 8 p.m.

Boom Days

What better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than at Boom Days. Celebrations will be taking place all across the Old First Ward. The events start at 10 a.m. You can find a list if locations and times here. Fireworks will light the skies at 8:30 p.m.

Patriots Day Weekend

Here's a good excuse to visit Old Fort Niagara this weekend. Join American Revolutionary War reenactors at the fort. There will be musket demonstrations as well as a reenactment. You can find more information here.

The Art of the Brick

Chances are you never saw an art exhibit like this. The Buffalo Museum of Science is getting ready to unveil "The Art of The Brick."

A fabulous, eye-catching and colorful presentation of sculptures and wall hangings--eighty pieces in all--all made from Legos Blocks. It costs $18 for adults, $15 for teens and children. You can buy tickets here.

Burchfield Penny Art Center spring sale

If you're looking for something to hang on the wall, the Burchfield Penny Art Center may be the place to be Friday. They're having a spring sale. Prints, pottery, unique jewelry and more will be up for grabs from artists across the area. The event goes from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The Summit Center Autism Walk

Move your feet for a good cause Saturday. The Autism Walk raises awareness and acceptance of autism in Western New York. The walk will take place at The Summit Center in Getzville at 10 a.m. You can register here.

American Culinary Federation competition

It's a competition that's cooking up some of the tastiest dishes in town and it's coming to Niagara Falls this weekend! It's free to attend and runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. You can learn more about the competition and the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute here.
