A world without Sports

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — March and April are the start of many significant sporting events; March Madness, The Masters, Major League Baseball, and the playoffs for the NHL and NBA.

In a world without sports, our 7 Eyewitness Sports team made up of Sports Director Matt Bove, and sports reporters Jenna Callari and Adam Unger are trying different things.

They are helping out on the news side of things but miss covering the sports you love.

"Right now, I am doing all these puzzles I have never done before," Callari said.

Bove says he couldn't find any puzzles, so he bought a Friend's LEGO set to put together. The set has the cast and the main couch from the popular 90s sitcom. Unger says he's watching many reruns of old events.

"You realize how much you watch sports and how much sports are apart of your life," Callari said.

For many, sports are what keeps their households going. The reality is, without sports, many people are without a job as well.

"The impact on the sports world, people are saying how much they miss it, but it's also about the workers and freelancers saying okay what do I do now," Callari said.

It's an attraction and for many, a necessity. Sports are taking a time-out for now, but when they come back.

"When they come back, it will be that much better," Bove said. "In the meantime, find a new hobby or think of all the happy memories because of sports."
