EDEN, NY (WKBW-TV) — There's plenty of corn being harvested at Agle's Farm Market in Eden. Karyn Sullivan, the fifth generation of her family to work this farm says that corn needs a lot of "water and fertilizer".
With the Eden Corn Festival canceled, Karyn says "It'll be a slow weekend the weekend the corn festival is (normally) scheduled but other than that we sell corn from July through September."
Karyn says that planting the corn is a breeze. Her uncle handles that and she says "we stay out of his way." The tough part is the harvesting which is all done by hand. Karyn says "We walk up and down these rows every morning picking it fresh."
They have much more than corn available in their abundantly filled market including a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Agle's Farm Market is opened daily. You will find them on Gowanda State Road in Eden. Look for the big inflatable ear of corn.
