BELMONT, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Southern Tier teen told investigators his father shot and killed his mother.
William Larson Jr. was in court Tuesday morning for a preliminary hearing. Prosecutors played and showed the teens interrogation interview with investigators to the court. During the interrogation, William told authorities his father threw a knife at him. Larson says he then shot and killed 67-year-old William S. Larson Sr. William told authorities he started the house on fire-- calling it the "worst move I made in my life."
New York State Police arrested the Clarskville teen in connection to the deaths of his mother and father Friday.
Larson was arraigned on two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of first-degree manslaughter following the fire at a house in Clarksville, in Allegany County. Both William S. Larson Sr. and Lisa Larson were found inside the house.
The 17-year-old was found on the scene of the fire at Courtney Hollow Road as firefighters were attempting to extinguish it, but he left the scene before police arrived.
