BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The suspect who investigators say drove her SUV into a police line, striking officers during a protest in Buffalo is now being held on an attempted murder charge.
30-year-old Deyanna Davis was already charged with aggravated assault over the incident on Bailey Avenue earlier this month. During a court appearance Wednesday, prosecutors presented evidence supporting a potential attempted murder charge. Her bail was kept at $200,000 but she is now eligible for bond. Her case is now moving to a Grand Jury, who will choose on which charges Davis will be indicted.
Three officers were injured in the incident; two state troopers and one Buffalo police officer. Davis was also shot.
Two men, Semaj Pigram and Walter Stewart, who were in Davis' vehicle at the time are each facing criminal possession of a weapon and stolen property charges.
