JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — Jamestown Police are investigating after band equipment was stolen from the 10,000 Maniacs. The equipment was in a studio the band practices in. In all, about $7,000 of equipment was taken sometime between Friday, June 28th and Monday, July 1st.

Police are not disclosing the exact location of the studio, but say the items missing include two external hard drives, a 27'' iMac, six iPads with "10,000 Maniacs" etched on the back, and a number of guitars. One is described as a black Fender Stratocaster Guitar with a pink pick guard, and another is a Fender Squire J Guitar.

Police are working a number of leads in this case, and the band is offering a monetary reward for anyone who turns over the equipment or who gives information that leads to it being recovered. Names will be kept anonymous, and police say charges won't be pursued against anyone who unknowingly acquired the equipment.

Information on where the equipment is can be given to Jamestown Police. You can reach them at 483-7537, or leave a tip at 483-TIPS. In a Facebook post, band members asked the public to keep their eyes open.
