WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Dogs, veterans, and Buffalo Bills. It was a perfect combination Tuesday night at the Erie County SPCA.
Bills like Lorenzo Alexander, Reid Ferguson and Andre Roberts were there to recognize the SPCA's Paws and Patriots program. It's a program that's designed to line up veterans with the perfect pet.
“Veterans and dogs go together hand in hand. Veterans can really love a dog. And a dog can make a big difference,” said Allan Monaco, a Navy veteran.
Alexander appreciates that connection and what veterans have done for this country.
“They do such a great job protecting our country. They allow us to have the freedoms that we have today. And I think often times we take those things for granted,” said the Bills linebacker.
