BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — It's a local business that's bringing beauty to you.
Braid Babes, a mobile hair braiding company, is celebrating its first anniversary.
One Lockport native has taken her hair braiding skills and made it mobile.
"You can take this average looking braid and make it really pretty," said Braid Babes owner and founder Emily Bowman.
Bowman says there's an unlimited amount of braids you can make.
"We specialize in Dutch and French [braids], but there are so many different ways to do them," Bowman said.
Bowman and her staff take their pink chairs and products to events all over Western New York.
Braid Babes can be at your birthday party, weddings, corporate outings, or anywhere you want them to show up!
"We can do very fun and flirty, or very classy braids," Bowman said. "Women love compliments, they love to feel beautiful while not having to worry about doing their hair."
Bowman credits her growth to people showing off her hair styles.
While braids typically last two days, one new product, hair shimmers, can last up to a few months in your hair!
"People being like, 'is your hair shimmering?' Oh yeah, that's the Braid Babes," Bowman said.
