Buffalo 911 "taxed" with calls for help after flash flooding

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Police Captain Jeff Rinaldo says there were many areas affected by flash flooding, early Wednesday.

A number of people were stuck in the area around Military and Chandler, Hertel and Elmwood and Linden and Delaware Avenue.

The police captain spoke with 7 Eyewitness News, live by phone, on the 7ABC Morning Show.

Rinaldo said the 911 system was taxed with people calling for help.

Police say when you encounter flash flood waters, to turn around and never drive through.
