BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Arts Academy has a news show called "Arts on Air" that typically shares what is going on in the school community. Due to COVID-19, that had to be changed into a digital segment called "Arts on Quarantine".
"We felt really disconnected and we wanted to reach out to our students at performing arts school," said Allei Floyd, a junior at Buffalo Arts Academy.
The shows are shown on Youtube, and helped spread the word about a virtual spirit week happening this week at the school.
"We felt like a community again," Floyd said.
Floyd is an aspiring broadcast journalist, so for her, this is the perfect life prep.
"I do the filming and the audio (for the shows)," Floyd said.
