BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A woman, who lives with chronic pain all the time, is now on an inspirational journey that began right here in Western New York on Sunday.
Traci Lynn Martin is trying to become the first person to circumnavigate all five great lakes, but first she had to find a safe point to launch, which is difficult with all the ice that recently formed around shore.
Traci has rheumatoid arthritis, and she says the point of this voyage is to inspire people living with chronic pain.
Traci will spend the next ten months paddling around the great lakes.
She also tried this once before, but fell short of the finish line because of ice on Lake Ontario in 2017.
