Buffalo man pleads guilty to 2021 convenience store murder

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo man pled guilty to one count of manslaughter in the first degree today.

27-year-old Rickey L. Bryant allegedly shot 35-year-old Tony D. Rookard inside of a convenience store on Doat Street in Buffalo. Rookard died from his injuries at the scene.

Bryant will face a maximum of 25 years in prison during his upcoming sentencing on Oct. 5, 2022. He is currently being held without bail.
