BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — City of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown will seek reelection for a fifth term in office, according to his official announcement Thursday.
Brown first took office in 2006 and was was reelected to a fourth four-year term in November of 2017.
Two Democratic candidates, India Walton and Scott Wilson, previously announced their candidacy for Buffalo’s 2021 mayoral race.
Walton made her announcement in December 2020 and Wilson made his announcement in June 2020. Another mayoral candidate, Le’Candice Durham, is expected to make a formal announcement on Saturday.
The Democratic Primary is scheduled for June 2021.
