BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo police are investigating a homicide that occurred Monday afternoon on Main Street.
According to police, 37-year-old Jena Macdiarmid was found dead in an apartment in the 3400 block of Main Street. Her cause of death was determined to be a homicide.
29-year-old Savon Stewart was arrested in connection to the homicide and charged with second-degree murder.
The Erie County District Attorney's Office said he is accused of beating and stabbing the victim.
Stewart is scheduled to return on August 16 for a felony hearing and was held without bail.
