BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — An officer from the Buffalo Police Department has been hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle at the corner of McKinley Parkway and Midland Street on Thursday afternoon.
The department says the officer was blocking traffic at the intersection using their patrol car when they were struck around 2:35 p.m. The officer was transported to ECMC to be treated for his injuries, and released from the hospital hours later.
7 Eyewitness News is working to learn the extent of the officer's injuries. It's unclear whether the driver of the vehicle who struck the officer has been apprehended.
