BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The website 6FT Closer lets you create thank you videos for essential workers on the frontlines.

It's a simple, easy, and fun was to thank a stranger who is risking their own life working during this pandemic.

"You don't realize how a thank you can really impact people's days or weeks," Sahil Bhaiwala, co-founder of 6FT Closer, said.

Four friends Noah Friedman, Sahil Bhaiwala, and Williamsville natives Ben and Ariella Sharf created this website to help spread more hope and uplifting messages.

In just three weeks and 500 videos later, the company has become the digital version of a thank you card.

"This too shall pass and focusing on good energy... is the most powerful anchors to get us through it," Friedman said.

You can sign up to send a video to a stranger or nominate a worker. That worker will receive the video via text or email.

"We feel there is something very powerful about receiving a message from someone you don't know," Ben Sharf said. "We feel this gratitude is much more genuine to be recognized by someone across the country."
