LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — Most schools in Western New York have been closed for about a week now, and with many adults working from home, parents may be looking for new ways to keep kids occupied.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is offering to help. Acting Sheriff Michael Filicetti announced a new plan Tuesday afternoon for Sheriff's Office employees to read books for kids.
The videos will be available on YouTube here. The department will also upload the videos to their social media accounts.
In a press release, Acting Sheriff Filicetti said, "during this coronavirus shutdown, many of our outreach programs that were previously scheduled have been canceled. Connecting with children is something we all look forward to, and this is one way we can still continue those efforts."
