BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — Put on your sneakers, grab your family, and start hunting!

Ten local police departments and agencies have joined forces to create a "Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt"!

Here's how it works. Each department has hidden a number of ducks in one or more of their area parks including the special "Lucky Duck". Families are encouraged to walk around the park and try to find all of them. All of the ducks are well above the ground, out of reach, so that they remain in place for all to find!

The Cheektowaga, Tonawanda, Orchard Park, Kenmore, Lancaster, Depew, and Niagara Falls Transit departments are offering prizes for finding their one "Lucky Duck". The Lucky Duck will have that agency's patch and the Lucky Duck symbol hanging off of it. Below is what it will look like.

Once you find it, take a picture of it and submit the picture through Facebook Messenger to the Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt Facebook Page. You will then be put in for a random prize drawing at the end of the month!

Where can you go searching for these ducks? Here's a list of Parks and the number hidden at each:
