BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Former Buffalo Bills running back and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Thurman Thomas, has partnered with a local vending company to provide food to seniors in need.
The Thurman Thomas Family Foundation has partnered with Buffalo Strive Vending for the #StriveForSeniors challenge.
"The Thomas Family Foundation has committed $5000 in collaboration with Buffalo Strive, equating to a total of 14,000 snacks and drinks to the senior community.
"We challenge you to join us by purchasing a 34 box created specifically for our seniors in need. With each purchase, 50 snacks will be delivered to the doorsteps of local senior centers. Order now through April 5th. Deliveries will be made on April 11th," the website says.
Thomas made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday.
