BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo and Western New York Jr. Soccer League announced it has canceled the 2020 season due to the coronavirus outbreak.
According to the league's website, the decision was made on Friday and is effective immediately.
After reviewing all of the available information regarding the ability to operate a 2020 seasonal schedule, even on a reduced basis, the Board of Directors has come to the conclusion that it will not be possible to do so and thus is cancelling the 2020 season effective immediately.

League President Bob Lichtenthal says he is encouraging member clubs to look at simple, community based opportunities to possibly offer 'house' programs this fall.
