4-year-old boy, two adults injured in rollover crash on Route 5

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Three people were injured following a two-vehicle crash on Route 5 early Sunday morning, according to Buffalo Police.

Investigators say a 39-year-old man was driving on the wrong side of the road at about 12:45 a.m. and hit another vehicle head-on near Ohio Street. That vehicle rolled over and landed on its roof.

The driver was taken by ambulance to ECMC. According to police, his 4-year-old son was also in the vehicle and was taken by ambulance to Oishei Children's Hospital. Both are receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that was hit, a 48-year-old Blasdell woman, was also taken to ECMC with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
