BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo-based business ACV Auctions is revolutionizing the used-car market.

ACV is a online, dealer-to-dealer vehicle marketplace. They provide used-car dealerships a more effective way of buying and selling wholesale cars through 20-minute auctions.

The company has also just announced the launch of a new high-tech tool. The Virtual Lift™, is the industry's first mobile vehicle undercarriage imaging tool. Developers created a portable system that produces high-resolution constructions of the underside of a car.

This image offers more transparency for online buyers so they can see what they're getting.

“Virtual Lift™ is just one more way for ACV Auctions to solidify the business as the most trusted and transparent marketplace for dealers to buy and sell their wholesale inventory,” said ACV CEO George Chamoun.

The new tool will begin roll-out nationwide this month, with customers beginning to see in-app photos as part of condition reports in October.

In December 2018, ACV announced it secured $93 million in Series D funding, enabling the company to continue its explosive nationwide growth. That includes expanding its workforce. The company is looking for dozens of new employees. Find out how to join the ACV team right now at ACVAuctions.com/Careers.
