CHICAGO (WKBW) — It's a major milestone for South Buffalo's Patrick Kane.
The 31-year-old is the youngest American born player in NHL history to collect 1,000 regular-season points, after he recorded an assist in the Chicago Blackhawks 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets, Sunday night.
Kane became the 90th NHL player to reach 1,000 points.
In 50 games this season for the Blackhawks, Kane has 24 goals and 38 assists.
