CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Traffic was held up briefly on Union Road in Cheektowaga on Thursday, but it wasn't for construction or a fender bender.
A Cheektowaga Police Department officer held up vehicles in order to help a family of ducks safely cross the busy stretch of Union between William Street and Bennett Road.
Officer Hebeler escorted this family across Union. One of the baby ducks fell down the sewer grate and with the help of our animal control officer we were able to complete this escort. Thank you to the public for your patience! https://t.co/2ZmOvM2tly
