BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — By the end of this year, you'll no longer have to drive into Downtown Buffalo to sink your teeth into spaghetti parm from Chef's.

The iconic Buffalo dining spot will open a second location, in the Williamsville Plaza on Sheridan Drive in Amherst, "sometime in 2019," a release from the restaurant said.

The Billittier family says more details will be announced soon.

Chef's opened at the corner of Seneca and Chicago in 1923. Lou Billittier began washing dishes at the restaurant in 1941. Just 14 years later, he was the owner.

Chef's has expanded several times since, and is now in the hands of Billittier's daughter and son, Mary Beth and Louis.
