KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WKBW) — They say the secret is in the sauce....and in Kansas City, fans are wild about BBQ.
We asked you on Twitter for recommendations for the best BBQ in the city, and we ended up at Q39, an upscale, modern BBQ joint with quite the name.
The award-winning BBQ is known for it's smoked tangy flavor.
"We sell over 650,000 pounds of brisket," said owner Robert Magee, who took us through his kitchen.
Chef Magee says for Chiefs fans, BBQ is a must, and Q39 was the first stop Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reed made after getting off the plane from winning Super Bowl LIV.
"As soon as he got off the plane, he came to Q39," Magee said.
