BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The New York State Education Department's computer-based testing program is now back in the spotlight as mathematics tests begin.

Students in third through eighth grades have to take them. The computer-based version of the English Language Arts exam had to be postponed earlier this month due to software glitches that prevented students from logging on to access the tests.

They will also begin paper-based math testing on Wednesday.
