NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Four businesses in Niagara County are lost after a fire destroyed a small shopping plaza on Monday, according to fire officials.
The fire started at a laundromat on Division Street in North Tonawanda and spread to neighboring businesses.
The roof collapsed, which contributed to heavy smoke from the fire.
No one was injured.
Michael Korzak, the owner of the Division Market, said the fire was devastating for him as it closed a North Tonawanda business that had been around since the 1940's.
"The building is a complete loss, it's difficult to see" Korzak said.
A GoFundMe has been set up for the Division Market, with plans for the money to be given to the employees who are now without jobs.
That GoFundMe can be found here.
