AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Multiple agencies are looking into what caused a house fire in Amherst, Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say a fire started at 79 Garland Drive in the Eggertsville section of Amherst just after 4 p.m.
Crews from North Bailey, Snyder, and Williamsville assisted the Eggertsville Fire Department and were able to put out the fire just before 5 p.m.
Firefighters say the fire caused a total of $170,000 in damage with $100,000 to the structure and $70,000 to the contents.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
