Crews working to restore power to more than 4000 customers Friday

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Crews from National Grid and NYSEG are working to restore power to almost 5,000 customers across Western New York Friday.

According to National Grid, more than 2,500 customers do not have power. Close to 1,900 National Grid customers in North Tonawanda do not have power. Power is expected to be restored in the North Tonawanda area later this morning.

Because of the power outages, West Seneca West Middle School is closed.

A High Wind Warning is still in place for a majority of Western New York until 5 p.m. Friday.
