BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Large billboards with criticizing Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, and Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz are set to be displayed in Buffalo.
The billboards which ask to 'Re-Open New York' will be displayed on the 190 outbound, and the 33 inbound.
"Businesses are dying, landlords can't pay their bills, and people are making more money staying at home than most ever have in a week before and aren't required to pay their rents," said Tim Walton, who organized the effort. "What people don't understand is this isn't close your business and maybe you're out a little bit of money. This is people who have gone through hell, worked 80 hours a week, sacrificed their life savings, housing, and years of their life to build something that they are being told 'you may have to close'. To some, that is like taking away their life."
The billboards were funded through a GoFundMe page.
