LEWISTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — United States Customs and Border Protection agents say they have seized nearly 950 pounds of marijuana at the Port of Buffalo at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge.
According to Customs and Border Protection, a commercial shipment that was presented as phone accessories was inspected by officers.
Upon inspection, officers found 840 packages containing 936 pounds of marijuana, worth roughly $1.9 million in street value.
“The enforcement efforts throughout our ports of entry remains high,” said Acting Port Director Mark MacVittie. “Our officers continue to disrupt criminal activity and are dedicated to keeping dangerous drugs from our communities.”
