Allen played with a heavy heart last weekend, after Patricia Allen passed away. Bills fans responded to the news by making $17 donations to Oishei. This act of good will has garnered attention from across the country.
Wednesday Allen praised Bills Mafia who at that point raised over $300,000 and said he never wants to leave Buffalo.
"It's a truly special place...I don't ever want to leave, obviously, and I want to play here for as long as I can and give back to the community and give back to Bills Mafia here," Allen said.
#BillsMafia and beyond, we are so grateful for your support for the kids and families we care for, in honor of Patricia Allen. We plan to work with Josh and his family to determine where they'd like to see the donations directed and how they'd like to recognize her at OCH 💙 pic.twitter.com/0uEsMvyeBn
