A Niagara Falls man is facing jail time and a stiff fine for being in possession of drugs, firearms, and an unlawful destructive device.
According to authorities, 28-year old Jefferey Richards was known by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force as a narcotics trafficker who also manufactured improvised explosive devices.
Police arrested Richards on December 14th at his Packard Court home in Niagara Falls. Officers recovered amounts of suspected heroin, marijuana, and cocaine, approximately 10 firearms, various rounds of ammunition, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and an improvised explosive device. Officers also found a number of items used in the manufacturing of explosive devices.
If found guilty, Richards could spend up to five years in prison, a maximum of life, and fine of up to $5,000,000.
