BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Duff's Famous Wings is looking to land in Buffalo's Elmwood Village.
Sinatra and Company will submit plans to the Buffalo Planning Board tomorrow for a potential new location at the home of the former JJ's Casa-di-Pizza at Elmwood and Hodge.
Gregory Duell from Duff's tells 7 Eyewitness News Anchor Jeff Russo the company has signed a letter of intent but a lease agreement between Duff's and Sinatra, which owns the building, has yet to be finalized.
The Elmwood location would be Duff's seventh location in Western New York and its first within the City of Buffalo.
The arrival of a big name tenant such as Duff's would provide a major shot in the arm to this block of Elmwood, which has suffered from a number of vacancies, even before Children's Hospital moved to the medical campus in 2017.
The former Casa-di-Pizza location has sat empty since the restaurant moved to East Mohawk Street in Downtown Buffalo in 2015.
