ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — To celebrate fall, Ellicottville is once again putting on its popular Fall Festival, now in its 44th year.
Barb Pump, Project Development Manager for the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce, said this event takes months months to plan for.
"We actually start planning the day after the event for the following year," she said.
The event keeps getting bigger, attracting more visitors than the village's actual population.
The village of about 350 people is ready to welcome thousands of guests for this festival, which is about showcasing what it has to offer, and its warm and welcoming community.
Pump said as they plan for the festival, they need to account for things like traffic, parking, vendor set up and layout and emergency services.
"Most people take 219 South or 219 North. There's 242 coming in to Ellicottville, 242 on the opposite end," said Pump.
This map should give you an idea of how to get to the festival depending on which way you enter the village.
All village streets near the event will be closed, but there are parking lots near the festival area that you'll be able to utilize.
You can also park at Holiday Valley, and take a shuttle. It's $3 per person, per ride.
"There are various homes within the village that open up their property for parking," said Pump.
The festival kicks off Friday at 7 p.m., and continues Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 a.m. each day.
