Buffalo Police say they're looking for a light skinned Black or Hispanic man about 6'2" wearing a grey hoodie and sweatpants. According to the video, it appears he is wearing a mask.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he has had surgery. He's expected to be okay.
Buffalo Police say although Wednesday's stabbing is shocking, it does not appear that crime is up in the Elmwood Village.
Police released the following stats that show crime only on Elmwood Avenue. The crime analysis lab is working on getting us information that includes side streets in the Elmwood Village.
Police say these crime stats are ELMWOOD AVE only. Doesn’t include side streets. They’re working on getting me more stats. @wkbw pic.twitter.com/dR8d18ln1P
