BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo police and other emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash in the area of Seneca and Elk Streets Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to a 911 call at around 1:50 p.m. Investigators say a Chevy Corvette was traveling westbound on Seneca Street when the driver of the Corvette lost control of the vehicle and struck a car traveling eastbound on Seneca Street.
The 77-year-old male driver of the Corvette was ejected from the car and the vehicle burst into flames. The driver was declared dead at the scene of the crash.
A female passenger in the vehicle suffered no injuries as she was pulled from the car by onlookers.
Police are currently investigating if speed played a factor in the crash.
