HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — Organizers of the Erie County Fair are asking for input from volunteers as they look to bring back the 'Best 12 Days of Summer' in 2021.
The Erie County Agricultural Society has asked volunteers to fill out a brief survey gauging how comfortable they would be returning this year.
In the meantime, organizers say they are planning a multi-phase approach to this year's calendar but must wait for guidance from New York State.
The reopening guidance handed down by the state health department last week allowing outdoor amusement parks to reopen April 9 at 33 percent capacity do not apply to county fairs, said Fairgrounds Marketing Manager Holly Smyczynski.
The 181st Erie County Fair is scheduled for August 11 to 22 at the Fairgrounds in Hamburg.
