ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) — According to a tweet from Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, the Eternal Flame Trail at Chestnut Ridge Park will be closed until further notice.
The closure has nothing to do with the COVID-19 pandemic. The county executive says, in two separate incidents on Saturday, people were hurt on the trail. Both times, first responders needed to remove the patients from the ravine.
Poloncarz says to follow the Erie County Parks Department for updates on re-opening.
