BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — FeedMore WNY has a new tool to help it feed families fresh produce.
The New York Power Authority and the Electric Power Research Institute teamed up with FeedMore to open a new indoor food production facility.
The farm is inside an 80-foot shipping container. The "container farm" will harvest kale in its first year, with the goal of expanding the variety of produce grown in following years.
This is all part of a research project on the environmental impact of container farms.
