BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo fire officials say a two-alarm fire on Normal Ave caused roughly $180,000 in damage, Thursday morning.
Crews responded to a call from the custodian at Grover Cleveland High School who reported flames coming from a home across the street. BFD reported heavy fire in a kitchen and say the fire was contained to the back of the house.
Chief Tom Breski says he called a two-alarm fire because of the weather conditions. He says no one was home when they arrived and there are no reported injuries.
It took crews just over an hour to control the flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
