CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Firefighters across Western New York are mourning the loss of one of their own.
South Line Fire's Gus Buczek has passed after battling terminal pancreatic cancer.
The Cheektowaga volunteer fire company posted the news on Friday through Facebook.
Earlier this month, fellow firefighters of the Marine veteran and volunteer firefighter lined the sidewalks outside of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as he took his last ride home.
