Florida man accused of assaulting fans at Bills game

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) — A 35-year-old Florida man is under arrest following an assault in a New Era Field parking lot after Sunday's Bills game.

It was around 5:00 p.m. when Erie County Sheriff's Deputies say they were called to parking lot 4 for people needing medical attention following an attack. Victims described the suspect, what he was wearing and how he punched the hood of a vehicle then a number of people, knocking one of them unconscious.

Sheriff’s Helicopter, Air-1, assisted in searching for the suspect. The unit located a person matching the suspect's description at the corner of Abbott Road and Southwestern Boulevard.
One of the victims identified Kervin Lopez as the person who struck the vehicle and three people.

Two victims were evaluated and treated by EMS at the scene, the third victim, who lost consciousness, was taken to ECMC and later released.

Lopez was released without bail and is charged with 3rd degree assault and attempted assault, both are misdemeanors.
