Free pumpkins and more at farmers market style event in Niagara Falls

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — Abate Elementary School in Niagara Falls is giving away nearly 500 pumpkins.

it's all part of a safe, socially distant, free farmers market-style event that is packed with community giveaways.

Donations include:

· Niagara Falls Firefighters - free back packs with fire prevention information
· Niagara County Sheriff's Department and local farmers - 475 + pumpkins
· Becker Farms - free apples
· Interns from NU and UB - COVID information and masks
· TREC- disposable masks and drawstring backpacks
· Catholic Health - peanut butter and jelly
· Little Bakery - 300 loaves of bread
· Frankie's Donuts and Village Bake shop - prepackaged cookies and donuts
· City Councilman Kenny Tompkins - hats, gloves, scarves and warm socks
· Pinnacle - free blankets and ear muffs
· Levesque Institute - Halloween Literacy activities and crayons

This takes place Wednesday, October 28 from 11am – 2pm.

Abate Elementary School is located at 1625 Lockport Street in Niagara Falls.
